Shop Prom 2010

Choosing a prom dress is not always easy. Most people talk about the latest fashion or the greatest styles. But that is not what you are interested in. A designer gown may be too expensive for you. Or maybe you want to stand out from the crowd and look different.

If this describes you, then a vintage prom dress might be what you are looking for.

When you think of vintage clothing, you think of clothing from the 60’s to the 80’s , but it is not unusual that there is a demand for 50’s or even 40’s vintage prom dresses. And often these vintage dresses are very well made and designed.

This could mean that you will not always get off cheaply. Very often this kind of dresses is hard to find. And the price really depends on how rare it is and in what condition it has been preserved.

But to worry about the expenses is not the first thing you should do. Finding and choosing a prom dres can be real fun. You might start to ask your mother if she still has her prom dress.
She would probably be very delighted to see your wear her prom dress.

A good place to start your search for vintage clothing is the internet. There are so many online shops today offering vintage clothing and often have prom dresses at bargain prices.

You have to prepare to stand out from the crowd

A vintage prom dress in a way represents the era it was designed. Wearing a prom dress like that, you will most likely be noticed just as much -and maybe more- as the girls wearing design gowns. Therefore , if you really want to stand out, you will do your hair and your make up to match the era the gown represents.

A huge advantage of choosing to go with a vintage prom dress is that there are so many different types of dresses and styles to choose from.

You will treasure the memories when you look back on your prom. Some girls will have memories of having the newest and most expensive dress, but you will have had the pleasure of traveling back in time by going to your prom in a vintage prom dress.

    Help on choosing prom dress.?
So I’m definitely going to be choosing one of the prom dresses provided in the link. I’m just unsure what color to choose. Orange, black, and white are definitely out of the question but the other 4 I’m very unsure about. My skin color isn’t super tan; but it’s not white either. it’s probably a caramel type of color. My hair is a very dark brown nearly black. hopefully somebody can help me decide which color would look best for my skin tone.
